The Lead Forward Fellowship has been an incredible experience, helping to establish Mini-Movers at Purdue and furthering my personal leadership journey. Over the past year I have improved my leadership abilities by combining various leadership philosophies, competencies, and values to create meaningful impact within my initiative and on campus. Although the journey has been rocky, I have discovered my resilience and a newfound ability to depend on others. Mini-Movers was able to deliver a modified vehicle to a young child with disabilities thanks to the hard work of the volunteers, impact team, and all our supporters. Being able to see my initiative brought to life on a college campus and inspire others is something I will not be able to forget.
Mini-Movers at Purdue would like to thank John Martinson and the JMHC Leadership Development Unit for the funding, support, and education throughout the fellowship. Mini-Movers at Purdue would not exist today without the support of leadership educator Dr. Watkins. Dr. Watkins has played an integral part in inspiring our organization and facilitating our growth. Many thanks to Dr. Newell, Mini-Movers impact mentor, for providing valuable resources, connections, and believing in us. Your support has greatly inspired us and we can’t wait to continue working with you next semester!
Lastly, I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards my impact team for all the hard work in getting the organization started. To my fellow co-founder, you made every obstacle worth facing. You’ve made me a better leader, partner, and person. Together, let's ensure there are no prerequisites for inspiring change. Same time next year?
